Additional Info
Natural distribution ranges from the south, north to southern New Jersey. Variety asteroides occurs along the Susquehanna River in Maryland and Pennsylvania; variety latisquama is native to the mid-western U.S.; variety recognita can be found in the Upper Mississippi Valley and northeast to Lake Erie.
